National Drinking Month

By order of Emperor Crumb, who is alive and well, we celebrate the alternate national pastime — Drinking!

Competitions will be hosted in Tomonah Hall in the Gut. If you want to sponsor a prize category, post to comments.

Any entry that uses the default linden drinking animation will be disqualified.

Deadline: Saturday, June 25, 5pm. Judges must be medically cleared and have strong livers.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/New%20Babbage/199/235/106

In the box near the door you will find a full perm scripted drink loaded with some mediocre animations that you may tear apart, a coaster loaded with an object giver, and a cardholder. You do not have to use these items, they are simply provided as a starting place.

Spread the love

    Category 4 – Bar Snacks.

Because snacks must be rezzed, keep the prims to under 5. Most bars run very close to thier prim limits. Place snacks near the bar label that you think it would be most likely to be served in.You may set it for sale.

Category 1 – Bartender Folder Drinks.

A Bartender Folder Drink is a wearable drink of the sort a bartender would keep in inventory to hand out to customers. It may be specific to a particular establishment. It must be scripted and posed, with appropriate permissions, in 15 prims or less.

In the hall you will notice that there are cardholders on the tables for different bars. Place your drink near the cardholder of the bar that you think it would be most likely to be served in. Put the wearable drink in a coaster giver so people can sample it, and then set an unscripted display version of the drink on the coaster so everyone can look at it. You can put the bartender version inside the display version if you want to set it for sale so people can add it to their stock.

Full perm samples of drinks and coaster givers are in the box near the front door, you can tear them apart for scripts and animations if you cannot figure out how to make your own.

    Prizes: 3000/2000/1000

OK, I am going to risk looking silly. Was there any entries in the folder drinks category? (I did not see anything)

If there was no drinks for your tavern what drinks would people be willing to make available?

I found 2 or 3 dispensers in the regional section that let me buy them. Does this mean I can use them in my tavern?

Last question: Mr. Melnik how did you manage to come up with so many drinks even though you had been poisoned? Well done Sir!

      • Mr Tenk Mr Tenk July 4, 2011

yes, yes you can. of course you can.

i’m about half way thru sampling all the drinks… *hic* … you didn’t think i was goiing to be able to do this in one night?

Miss Tripsa should be back in tomorrow night to look at the posters. its been a great lazy long weekend for the north americans, hope everyone is getting out and enjoying it!

      3rd – gin&tonic, by Satu Moreau

  6. Mr Tenk Mr Tenk June 7, 2011

Category 2 – Regional Brews and Spirits.

A Regional is a display object that a bartender would put in the bar to dispense drinks. It must give a scripted animated wearable drink to anyone that touches it and  and be in 15 prims or less.

Place entries for Regionals on the labeled table near the wall. Feel free to set it for sale so bartenders can add it to their stock.

The region your drink hails from does not necessarily have to appear on the grid. For the newer folks, this is how those other towns magically appear on the map.

The drinking hall’s already been removed.

Anyways, Mr. Blackberry’s expressed an interest in providing the Steam Shot at his establishment.  If any other bar owner happens to want a full perm version of one of my drinks (this includes the right to fix/edit/remove:   clashing/poor/stupid dialogue, scripts, textures, etc) just send me an IM.  I don’t know if Mr. Blackberry wanted exclusive rights to the Steam Shot, but I’ll ask him later tonight.

    THE OLD BREWERY (Clockhaven)

Beer Punch with Wiggyfish (Amadeus Hammerer and Obscura Benoir)

    VRAI VERT (Clockhaven)

Sweet White Dessert Wine (Brother Lapis).
A delightful muscato to go with dessert, or substitute for dessert if you’ve reached the ends of your corset.

    Alcoholic Steam Shot (Arnold)
    Hint: breathe deep. Highly experimental.

    BUCKET OF BLOOD (New Babbage)

    Bucket o’ Blood (Arnold)
    Absolutely disgusting.

    Ravilan Red Sarnec (Verlia Bilavio)
Served in an elegant cut crystal glass. Stolen, no doubt.

    Served neat.
