Monster trap!

Young Gadget showing his engineering brilliance while waiting securely in the armored operating cage for the monster to appear. Meanwhile, some lunatic in shirtsleeves mercilessly tried to crush the lad’s spirit by claiming the trap would not work, and he was a powerful alien that would save us all from daleks and cybermen and things from our own worst nightmares that we, in our fragility, needed his protection from.

Worst nightmares? This is Babbage, sir!

The deranged fellow had obviously been into sampling the holiday nog before it had safely fermented. If he is lucky, he will sober up before he freezes to death.

This trap is most impressive! It catches bunnies as well as monsters! Yay!

Well thank you Sir indeed!…The lunatic fellow was back again today trying to entice poor hopalong Nat into ‘is magic shed, but we was having none of it!

If ‘e will insist on waving ‘is “sonic screwdriver” about my trap I might ‘ave to show ‘im what a babbage wrench can do to the peculiar outside toilet ‘e sleeps in!

Hah! One a them nutters tried gettin me inta his box when I was sittin atop the semaphore tower. Even flew it round ta swallow up half the tower just tryin ta get me in it. I told him I ain’t no good fer his reputation an he still tried forcin me ta go with him. Crazy ‘nough he should be in a hug me jacket in the nuthouse.

That trap’s good. Even caught me. If anythin can catch that monster, that can. Question is, can it hold it?

I know that sort! It’s all ‘come and stand in my magic shed and I’ll let you play with my wand’, they must think we’re born yesterday!
