Lady Mechanika

I haven’t seen any posts about this, so I thought I’d go ahead.  There is a new steampunk comic on shelves now called Lady Mechanika.  Issues 0, 1, and 2 have been released so far.  I just picked them up today and….well….wow!   Highly recommended!

I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing characters from this series in New Babbage…

I hadn’t heard about this one, I might just have to go find them! Thanks, Junie!

The art style is completely amazing and the storyline you can tell already, has been WELL thought out. They aren’t just some milkers that’s for sure and I cannot wait to get my hands on number 2!

I have issue 0 and 2 on backorder, as my local shop only had #1.  The art is good, and the story was engaging, if short…

Seems issue 0 is not inexpensive, ’round heah.

It’s quite an interesting read – the artwork is well done and I’m looking forward to the next issue…

I went to pick this up and they were sold out of the first two issues… I’ll have to track it down later… anyone reading the Batman: Gates of Gotham series?

Sounds like I got lucky when I found all three issues at the same time.  The first two issues were re-released in a double edition that contains both 0 and 1, which is what I got.

Is Gates of Gotham available yet?  Have you picked it up?  I’m very eager to read that one…looks fantastic.

first three issues (out of 5) are out…. i almost picked it up, but all the shop had was the variant cover (aka give us 4X the money for the same product), so I passed. I’ll probably wait until the trade comes out to read this one… but it looks interesting. I have no idea what its about, except its steampunk batman…

I saw a promo for it – apparently it’s about Bruce Wayne’s (grandfather?  great-grandfather?) and the founding of New Babbage Gotham, and how the city’s very foundations are rooted in the crime that plagues it later.  I think that the story moves back and forth between the earlier and current timelines.
