Recently Jed and I, along with Sky and Scottie Melnik, took a trip to Babbage’s new moon base in our experimental rocket-powered craft.
The “DangerGirl One” stands ready at the launch pad in the Academy.
The crew gathers at the launch pad and considers the vital question of selecting helmets for the trip.
Settling into the cabin. Scottie pats the ship, “Good rocket. Don’t blow up on us….”
The DangerGirl One has landed!
Preparing to leave the rocket.
Luxurious sleeping quarters.
The reading room.
The grand staircase in the main habitat.
We locate the bar.
The observatory. While gazing up at the Earth, the lines of a song began running through my mind: “We pray for one last landing/ On the globe that gave us birth/ Let us rest our eyes on the fleecy skies/ And the cool, green hills of Earth.” (reference)(audio recording)
The simulation room. Wow!
Coming down for a landing in The Port.
Home sweet home!
The intrepid explorers.
