Dispatch from Antarctica

(A bottle attached to the sea lion is delivered to New Babbage)

Dear fellow Babbage Citizens,
I find myself with Ms. Sera trapped on the south pole. No need for alarm just yet as we are working to remedy the situation. As you read in my last dispatch my factory is overrun with visiting penguins. The weather seemed to warm up just enough to safely airship them home. Fred even reminded me that it is summer in the southern hemisphere. I though “Great what could possibly go wrong?” So I readied the airship and Ms Sera made some special lunches of King Oscar sardine sandwiches for the penguins and we were off…

Unfortunately for us we have run out of airship fuel here on the Ross Ice Shelf…  I have several days of survival supplies here and Fred is having his fellow penguins bring us fish. They even offered to regurgitate it for us; to which, thankfully, Ms Sera said she would just cook and chew them herself. Fred and I are working into a way to distill fish into something he calls “Fishahol” that should fuel us enough to get to at least Rio in Brazil. From there we should be able to re-convert the engines to run on something more…normal…

And on a final note…. Yes it is summer here but it’s a balmy 20F. Warm for a flock of penguins not warm for two humans. Hope to see you all in New Babbage Soon.
