Cults, Occults and The Church

((private journal entry…but feel free to comment!))

Here I am again putting pen to paper for what is basically a marked scene of pure vandalism in the streets right infront of city hall!

Vandalism at its worse!

Don’t have a clue what the markings mean, usually things like this are scribbled down by insane people but to have it infront of City Hall is..well…shocking!  Mr Tenk stumbled out of the hall all flustered, can’t blame him really…kicked over an candle and called for the other cult in the city…The Church of the Builder.

All that was needed was a bucket of warm soapy water and a mop…but to call that lot from the church just gives them much more credibility, I mean what are they gonna do?  Say a few words about “the builder” and walk off…but it still takes a bucket of warm soapy water and a mop to clean it up.

There seems to be a rise in cult and occultish happenings in New Babbage as of late.  One of the more quieter ones have made a return, The Dagonese worshippers.  Apparently their new temple is close to Underbys old place.  At least the Dagons dont vandalise state property or try to shove their beleifs down everyones throat that they meet.  Heck, if anything the Dagons seem to be the only SANE cult in the city!

The worrying part though is the rise of popularity of The Church of the Builder.

When I first moved to the city the Church was in the background, hardly ever appeared and sometimes their “order” stuck daggers in doors of folks and establishments they “dont like”.  At the end of last year however they have become far more prominent in the city, with any naysayers…like me…being looked at by the church’s followers in a weird way.

Some folks have said to me in private that I shouldnt question the motives of the Church…

…blind faith is not something that i do however.

Spread the love

it’s all wrong, a goat’s head? where’s the higher Cthonic sigils?  the Yuggoth symbols?

where’s the universal diagram of the Mi-go?  they want to summon a shoggoth, they have it all wrong

and this church of the builder probably put that there, to scare the uneducated into blind faith

Were you running short on Cthonic sigils Mr Footman? I have some spare.

I doubt that the Church is responsable. They seemed to regard it as merely an unpleasant case of vandalism as well. I’m inclined to agree with them on this one. It’s likely just vandalism or, at worst, a distraction of some sort.

I’ve no idea what purpose such distraction would serve though.

The church of Dagon doesn’t strike me as being particularly sane. From what I’ve heard and read about them I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw that church of theirs. I think they’re just keeping a low profile.

((Is there any back story available about the Dagons and the Church?  I didn’t even realize they were two different things until last night.  *blushes*))
