In one quick motion Sky jumps up and hits the sign with her hand, causing the snow that had frosted on the night before to fall on the ground, revealing the name ‘Cuffs. Walking back inside to the warmth she questions, “Think we’re ready?”
Scottie, who is intently attaching a pneumatic tube to the wall replies without looking up, “Yup, just need to let people know how to sign up and see who might be willing.”
Sky grins and rubs her hands together, “Then onto the fun part…”

That’s right, ‘Cuffs in Port Babbage is finally opening up the floor to those who would like to experience a good, healthy brawl! There are two kinds of fighting one can participate in: Purely RP (writing out the actions) or Metered (simple fist fight gestures). We recommend the former for entertainment value, but feel free to prove us wrong.
Here are the general rules, as more specific ones can be found in-world by clicking the boxing gloves.
General Rules of Fighting:
-No weaponry.
-No punking out.
-No bleeding profusely (defined as being more than half a bucket’s worth).
-No use of technology, unless it is used as an integral body part.
-No un-even tag-teaming.
-OOC drama will not be tolerated.
-Win and lose well. Rematches are completely acceptable if both parties are in agreement.
In order to sign up to be matched for a fight please drop a notecard with your name and preferred fighting style in the pneumatic tube found in-world or seek us out. We’ll sort out possible opponents and get back to you.
And remember that this is all in the name of fun RP interaction, we’ll see where it leads together.
Best wishes and bloody knuckles,
Sky and Scottie
Yay!
does conkers count as a fighting style?
Uh….sure! If you can find an urchin who wants to go against you! I’d imagine you’re top at Conkers, eh Tepic?
Hmm, mayhaps I should brush off my martial arts skills…?
No fatalities?
*nods* Right, that part is fairly clearly outlined in the rest of the detailed rules. To quote:
The type of fighting that is condoned at ‘Cuffs is your typical street fight or barroom brawl. The referees (co-managers and those tagged as such) will have final say over any moves or matches and will break up any fight that crosses the line into a life and death struggle. Want to work out some aggression? This is the place. Want to kill someone? Go somewhere else.
Oher! I’m in I’m in! *goes off lookin’ fer someone ta punch.*
the first rule of fight club is… you do not talk about fight club….
Count me in I’mma signin up!
Hah! Sign me up! ‘Bout damn time yer opened up.
Looks like we’ll be gettin’ some one on one, Rusty. Finally.

http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20080604
The Jagers are more than welcome to join us for a few brawls. The invitation is extended to anyone in the Steamlands.
Provided, of course, they agree to abide by the very few rules we have devised to keep the fighters (relatively) safe.
YaY !!! claps & twirls @ Jagers coming to Babbage :)
Best wishes and Congratuations !!
Hooray! And congratulations!
“Chair! Not a weapon!”
“Bucket! Not a weapon!”
“Espresso machine..” “No! Not the Espresso machine!”
“not the lamp!”
*ducks*
“No pie!”
*ducks again*
*throws himself in front of the espresso machine*
::giggles:: Poor addicted Brother Malus.
*sits in the back, smiling, while cradling a Greener 8 gauge coach gun*
It’s gonna be a fair fight, and there won’t be any outside intervention.
Yay for the Melniks and their latest venture!
((for some reason, this just makes me think about Keith Richard’s character in Pirates 3, can’t really figure out why))
sounds interesting, where’s Cuff’s located?
‘Cuffs is located in Port Babbage on the opposite corner of the Curious Seamstress in the Sweetwater Gallery area, next to the pneumatic tube Station.
This should drop you at the front door:
