Last year some awesome bloggers got frightend that they were spoiling the unfolding story by blogging about it. I would like to just mention a few tips for writting about the Dark Aether story.
There will be a clue hunt accompanying the story which you can avoid writting about and will be seperate for the most part from the larger story.
If you simply place ((dark Aether Spolier Alert)) at the start it can warn readers who choose to avoid finding out stuff.
Some roleplayers like to read what other people think, or how other people percieved things during the story. It does not necessarily mean people will cheat. The best Roleplayers are the ones who know whats going on but roleplay that they dont.
So please blog to your hearts content as it’s a vital vibrant organic piece in the story telling!
[I ended up getting Unit #13 to guard the new clockwork, if needed he is sort of my redshirt, so don’t let him get in the way. Or maybe he will help? ^_^ This story sort of overlaps some of my own, with the aetheric portals, wireless telegraph and such. Let me know if I can help. ^_^]
Might I also suggest that people remember to tag their blogs, photos etc. with “Dark Aether.” The system is slightly glitchy, but it might help everyone to find what’s been going up quickly and easily :)
I’ve also created a timeline page on the New Babbage Wiki that’ll have whatever Dark Aether Falls-related writings I can find–even (especially) those outside the Aethernet Reader. The page is at http://cityofnewbabbage.com/records/index.php?title=Dark_Aether_Falls
Thank you for creating this. I don’t often know about external posts that get made, so its great to follow the whole story as it unfolds, not just what’s posted on this site.
you can aslo follow the strangeness by following @babbagemystery on twitter
