[20:17] Mosseveno Tenk: is there a blessing for a trolly? i want to get it right this time.
[20:17] Jimmy Branagh: ello Brother, sister
[20:17] Brother Scorpio: Children running along a railroad track. That is one way to thin out the urchin population.
[20:17] Mosseveno Tenk: there wasn’t a ceremony for the others before they got on the tracks.
[20:17] Mosseveno Tenk: maybe… maybe that was unwise.
[20:18] Sister Loxely stares at Tenk
[20:18] Jimmy Branagh: More loikely thin out the nuber of cars!
[20:18] Brother Scorpio: There is a small ceremony I am familiar with. The simpler, the better in cases such as these.
[20:19] Sister Loxely: We shall skip over the golden sliderule part. I’ve always found that unnecessary anyway.
[20:19] Mosseveno Tenk: I think that might be best, considering how many accidents there have been
[20:20] Brother Scorpio nods and withdraws his hammer, holding it out in front him as if it were a ward.
[20:21] Sister Loxely looks solemn
[20:21] Brother Scorpio mumbles, “Great Builder, our Father and Teacher, bless these lines before us today. May the rails never rust, the line run true, and may the cars deliver their passengers ever safely. Reason is our foundation, Logic, our weapon The Laws of Your Universe are Constant.”
[20:22] Jimmy Branagh looks around, shrugs, and keepes quiet
[20:22] Brother Scorpio gives the hammer an end over end flip and seats it back in the his belt.
[20:22] Sister Loxely nods in silent agreement, then makes the sign of the hammer

The hammer flip is a nice touch. Is it part of the ritual? Or a stylistic flourish? Either way, I LIKE IT!
*orders a hammer to throw at the first trolley to show its face in the Gangplank*
Well true it’s a nice touch .. Perhaps a nice new Ritual indeed .. Jimmy where are your shoes ?
/me chuckles .. like it really is going help ?? Ya think .. Really ? ……..
Can we make bets at when the first trolley will roll through Cuffs?
We could… Though Scottie and I think it would be far more exciting to bet on when/how it will strike the first passerby.
Has Doc O ever tied Book or someone to the rails yet?
i hope no one takes this as me talking down the existing trollies we all know and love. i have no intention of doing away with them. the physical movement trollies will stay on the rail beds, and a script movement street car will operate from bolyai plaza on jefferson way to the militia hq on prince dakkar. i dont’ think clockhaven can take a physical trollie, and the guide rails would obstruct vehicle movement in narrow streets.
I love the trollies and glad we’re adding more actually. I mean I don’t think it would be Babbage without seeing them fly off the rail into the sky, or crash through nearby buildings. I can agree with Clockhaven not getting them though. The streets are already to narrow for people sometimes so doubt a trolley could fit.
But I like the Golden Sliderule part!
::leans over Malus’s shoulder and smiles:: Perhaps you should have stayed in the order and moved to preserve it then?
*flicks a wet bartowel precisely over his shoulder*
Personal Space? Respect?
*Looks at the new track and fishes in his pocket for a coin; lays it on the track and smiles.*
I’m with Ms. Ginsburg on the hammer flip. Nice touch.
So say we all.
Given the way public transport has worked in Babbage in the past (remember, I was the one who manipulated Ceejay into duelling one of the damned things a couple of years back) I think that an exorcism of the trolley fleet would be a smashing idea.
I’ve suggested the same thing.
“The power of primes compel you!”
I need to get the account of that up on the Wiki! *grin*
