Arrival

Well, I managed to get here as Grandfather Morlock said I would, Quelch is going to be so damned annoyed when she finds out she was wrong about that. But then I would not trust the Godmother’s judgment over Morlock’s, ever. 

New Babbage is not like anywhere else I have had to go for the House before, familiar yet strange. But the Unkindnesses hinted that this is where my Faction Brothers Nadiim and Yasiin’s trail went so how could we not follow it up. Why do they have to be so damned vague? I swear sometimes they are making it all up and think of excuses when things go wrong, excuses that mean it’s the family that have made an error and not them.

I still think that House Tracolix is behind this somewhere it has their foul stench about it, I wonder if that Lolita woman the brothers were tracking was working for them.

Still, New Babbage looks to be an interesting place, as an Anglo-Indian I should be able to fit in, after all House Paradox has explored the British Empire from it’s farthest darkest reaches all the way back to London at it’s heart. 

The spatial temporal vector plotter seems to have gone on the ‘fritz’ as Brother Lokaria would put it, and I have lost contact with the House but that’s not unusual but the ship should be able to which is odd as like all her kind she was there at the founding of the Empire. No matter, stranger things have happened, one odd thing is that the moons have all gone lilac, not sure what that means as it’s not in the handbook. It seems that outside New Babbage I can only target various Londons right now, but the ship has always had an affinity with the city ever since the founding of the Eleven Day Empire back in 1752.

So, all I have to do is find my missing Faction Brothers, and fix the ship but having seen New Babbage I am probably in the right place for that.
