Another Letter To The Mayor

Hand delievered by Loki Eliot.

Mr . Mayor:

I should like to register a complaint against one of our citizens, a certain Mr. T.J. Popplefot., of whom you are aware.

I returned to the factory of which i run for Krakenwell & Co to discover that a large cavernous hole had been dug through the cellar crypt storage. The food supplies as well as many materials for use in the factory had been taken leaving only a few crates and barrels broken and strewn on the floor.

I think we can surmise all to well who the culprit of this devious plot. Popplefot and his motley crew of misfit workers have been known before to go to great extremes to steel supplies donated by the generous and ever so kind Mr Mornington .

It is my belief that a group of thieves instructed by Popplefot used the sewer tunnels to dig through under Krakenwell factory to steal. I demand that Popplefot be arrested immediately and for his factory to be closed pending an investigation.

I should also like to be compensated for the work that must now be done to reinforce the foundations of the Factory and CobbleStone House now that there is a large tunnel under it.

I hope you can bring some justice to this horrendous situation. The man brings shame to this city with the way he routinely neglects his factory workers and uses them for nefarious devious plans. SAD.

B. Briggs

Hmm. If I’m lucky, Mr. Underby will file this and the other letter in the garbage.

If I’m not lucky, he’ll pass them on to me…

Aetheric Power & Engineering can categorically state, for the record, that no clockwork were involved with this distressing incident. The recent chess related rampage that led to the destruction of three lampposts and a small house was in no way related to the events at the Krakenwell factory.

Aetheric Power & Engineering remain committed to fostering good relations with our neighbours, while minimising the number of disintegrations, aetheric anomalies and clockwork rampages around our facilities.

We wish all the staff and workers at the Krakenwell factory well and will do all we can to support the investigation into these mysterious events.
