Seeing the interest in Triangular Houses I thought it would be of interest to post a photograph of this wonderful little house in my home town of Hastings. Fortunately the weather held up and I was able to successfully render this photographic illumination.

Local legend says that the Piece of Cheese Cottage was built as a bet between two friends. One bet that he could live on the tiny triangular plot of land for a year and a day, and in order to win the bet he built the house. This house is not only triangular but it is also one of the smallest residential houses in the country with several owners living in it full time before it opened as a guest house.

Not sure, but looks like the chimney is at the pointed end, quite a good idea – good support and good use of space!
