A Proposal to the Fathers

Fathers,

Below is a proposal of action for the benefit of the Church, may Logic and Reason guide your interpretation of what is presented.

As you are well aware, we are in desperate times as a congregation in New Babbage. Though beset with all manners of trials and obstacles, we boldly continue in our work to follow the teachings of the Book and act as examples of sound Reason to those around us. That being said, it is evident that in order for this town to survive we must continue in our presence here. It follows that if the presence of the Church were to increase the well-being of the surrounding area would be affected in a positive manner.

Therefore I propose a significant way that the visible presence of the Church may be increased to the benefit of New Babbage: An extension of the campus of the Cathedral of the Builder.

The land closest to the Cathedral in the westward direction has fallen vacant, providing us with a singular opportunity of expansion. Imagine a new build or builds dedicated solely to the work of the Church filling that otherwise empty space. The uses for the builds would be as follows: teaching facilities, meeting spaces, soup kitchen, center for contemplation, and halls of residence for the clerical teachers and students.

This favorable juncture would provide adequate space for all of the functions of the Church while also allowing an exemplary build of Divine Logic to be created. Let us seize this moment in order to positively affect the landscape of New Babbage.

May the wisdom of the Builder guide as you consider these words.

In Service to the Church,
Sister Julia Loxely

Spread the love

…and so the Church of the Builder get their claws deeper into New Babbage

With all that’s gone on with the Church and the town lately the arrival of the Sisters seems to have been quite positive. Since the first night they arrived in Babbage and stood their ground with a hostile crowd (and I have to admit I was part of that crowd) they’ve been nothing but pleasant and engaging.

I think a spot of land designed for more than just some drafty church is a great idea. It should help show people what the church is really all about. I know I’d like to learn more about them.

i met one of the Sisters the other night, she was nice, and had a lovely blue skin that looked wonderful with her dark red hair.  if the others are as nice, well….   still not sure biut those Fathers though, you never know who they might want to throw in their dungeons next….

They’re wonderfully engaging creatures.  I shall delight in… having further discussions with them.

Perhaps the Church will build a new cemetary.  Always a need for more graves  :-)

I suggest that Coronet Gardens and the area surrounding it would not be a wise choice for the expansion of the church, should such an expansion ever fall under consideration.  I suggest this in all sincerity.
