I was back after observing the pengi’s traditional thanksgiving, celebrated by drinking and blowing things up, and had been working on clearing the newly fallen snow off my walkway, when a round spherical automoton clanked by. It stopped to scan the clockwork finches as I watched it, then it seemed to nitice me and drew something in the snow. looking closer it appeared to be a crude picture of a cat. Knowing Babbage has a decent supply of felines, I reccomended it could easily find a stray if it was looking for a pet.
Obviously it was not equiped with a soundnographer, as it proceeded to scan the Janus Meteorite and my recently repaired sign.
From just a basic visual observation, it seemed too well maintained to be a feral clank, and too lightly built to be a heavy industry model. the small build and narrow limbs looked more suited for clerical work, or delecate maintenance. I’ll have to ask if the Clockhaven Plant has misplaced any maintenance units next time I see the unicorn.
